Direct Support Professionals Carry out our Mission … Every Day.
REM Wisconsin’s Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are educated, trained, and committed to our mission. Our efforts to recruit the best, most qualified staff include targeted outreach and an extensive interview and screening process.
Because consistency in care is critically important to the health and welfare of the individuals we serve, REM Wisconsin has extensive employee retention initiatives. Our wage and benefit packages for Direct Support Professionals are competitive and help ensure we are able to keep the caring, qualified workers who support the individuals we serve and their families.
Throughout all levels of the organization, REM Wisconsin takes a proactive approach to staff development and we’ve become recognized as an employer of choice in human services in Wisconsin. Our statewide training initiatives ensures quality and consistency in how our staff handles daily responsibilities and unexpected emergencies and enables every employee to further develop and continually update their skills. In addition to practical, hands-on training such as first aid, behavioral support, and personal care services, REM Wisconsin employees are educated on state-of-the-art thinking and cutting-edge research in the field.
